SPRING WALK SUNDAY 5TH MAY 2013

On Sunday 5^th May 2013 the sun decided to shine on the collection of Welsh Springer Spaniels who gathered at Swinley Forest at Bracknell for the SEWSSC Spring Walk. However, the lovely weather had its downside as we all had quite a time finding parking in this popular location.

We met at the Discovery Centre and moved off to the nearest piece of green to take the usual Group Photo (many thanks to Andy who took all the 166 photos for me to choose from for the website!). A quick count showed that there were 23 Welshies and two ‘others’. George Isherwood lead us as usual on to what he had assured us was a nice easy AND LEVEL walk, see the photo gallery to see what he means by this!! The dogs managed to find some lovely black muddy water to cover themselves in, but otherwise we had a pleasant – and warm – walk through the lovely area that George had chosen, with the dogs mostly off lead the whole way. Some Segways were seen enjoying the same area as us but fortunately the dogs did not see them to chase after!

Thank you George for your choice of venue, we all had a great time and will be waiting for your choice for next year with bated breath!!
