15TH BREED
CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW
Held
on 17th October 2012.
Dogs
The usual family atmosphere of a Breed
Club Show. Hospitality and welcome was much
appreciated. Quality in most of the dogs
was pleasing and made tidy line-ups, which made my task very enjoyable.
MINOR
PUPPY DOG 2(1abs)
1. Dias Ballantyne’s
REDFRITH HOT FUDGE. Superb profile, well coated, fairly sound
with a happy dispostition. A good future prospect.
PUPPY
DOG 6(1abs)
1. Bott’s
FERNDEL PORTHOS. Beautiful dog, absolutely typical of his breeders productions,
although not quite mature yet. His proportions
are OK, good head, neckline, rib cage, short loin, good hind angulation and bags of confidence. At this age you can see what you are getting
and given time will make the grade.
2. Harrisons’ GLENBROWS TIMELORD. Unlucky to meet winner
today. He is good enough to enjoy
lots of wins, his profile and outline are his best
attributes and his sound movement front and rear.
3. Buckwell’s KILLENA SONG FOR GUY.
JUNIOR
DOG 4(1abs)
1. Backhouse’s AINDREA
LOTOFUNWIOUTLAFIN. Good masculine
head, very good reach of neck, well coupled body, plenty of bone. He knows he is class and it shows. Another prospect for the
future.
2. Cocking & Barnaby’s BUSHWACKER THRILLER.
In many ways similar to winner, well presented,
perhaps not as confident.
3. Masters’ MURSHTAIL
FORTISSIMO
SPECIAL YEARLING DOG 3
1. Backhouse’
AINDREA LOTOFUNWIOUTLAFIN
2. Gills’ BRENROS TAKE ME RIGHT ROUND. Well bodied, compact, strode
around with good drive, excellent temperament, perhaps more stop would enhance
his expression.
3. Masters’ MURSHTAIL FORTISSIMO.
MAIDEN
DOG 5 (3abs)
1. Buckwell’s KILLENA EVERLASTING LOVE. Did OK. Enjoyed his task but did no more than necessary,
more experience and possibly ringcraft would help.
2. Masters’ MURSHTAIL FORTISSIMO Again more experience
required.
NOVICE
DOG 4(2abs)
1. Harrisons’ GLENBROWS TIMELORD
2. King's KILLENA EVERLASTING LOVE
GRADUATE
DOG 3
1. Backhouse’ AINDREA
LOTOFUNWIOUTLAFIN
2. Leary & Geoghan’s HIGHCLARE JUST SO FOR
FENFLEET. More mature than first, good body properties, perhaps tail a bit highish, otherwise better than average.
3. Evans’ COEDYBRAIN RYAN
POST
GRADUATE DOG 8(1abs)
1. Enderby’s TOBERMYN DAWN RAIDER. Short coupled
with nice width of ribs, masculine head, neat feet on well boned front and and good rear angulation.
2. Leary & Geoghans’s HIGHCLARE JUST SO FOR
FENFLEET
3. Thomas’ BOWDONIA SPECIAL EFFECTS
MID
LIMIT DOG 2
1. Tully’s
HIGHCLARE TYCOON. 3 years young, nicely proportioned, well presented to show
off his good outline. Happy nature, excellent movement, eager
to please. Res CC
LIMIT
DOG 9(1abs)
1. Irvine’s BUSHWACKER CHILLI PEPPER OF
BROOMWALK. A superb
example of our breed. I liked
everything about him, his outgoing personality, he is not a flash harry, but
you cannot overlook him. He is well put
together and I predict a good future.
2. Smith’s AMBLELIGHT MERCURY. Another
typical specimen, not a prima dona
but he will challenge for honours in his own workmanlike way. Dare I say, he is a mans dog.
3. Thomas’ BOWDONIA SPECIAL EFFECTS.
OPEN DOG 7(3abs)
1. Worth’s SH CH
SHANDWICK KRISTOFFER AT SARABANDE . A model of presentation,
exceedingly sound in moving, a full well groomed coat. He strode around the ring with
authority. My details of the finer
points e.g. expression, bone, feet etc escape my memory, such was my admiration
of a worthy champion. CC.
2. Walton & Coffin’s AM CH COLECREEK HAWKEYE AT HILLPARK. Just about
maturity, he goes well and is nice to watch.
He does everything right, at his own pace, but he and the remainder of
the class had no chance of challenging the winner.
3. Tew’s PAMICKS SIGN OF THE TIMES (One of my past
favourites)
VETERAN
DOG 6
1. Barnes’ SH CH BARHI
CROUCHING TIGER. Typical for his 10 years, maybe more like 8 years, he
has good looks and all his faculties.
Keep on pal.
2. Tubbs’ PARKMIST MASTER DANCER FOR ALSUTU. More compact than first, just as
fit.
3. Ordish’s GOLDSPRINGS OSPREY
SPECIAL BEGINNERS DOG 2
1. Johnstone’s KAZVAL FILATELIST FOR GILPETA. Winner the more
finished article and he did not let owner down. Bred in the
royal purple. Just a wee bit harder now.
2. Batey’s AMBLELIGHT CENTAURI
SPECIAL WORKING DOG no
entries
GOOD CITIZENS DOG SCHEME
2
1. Tubb’s PARKMIST MASTER DANCER FOR ALSUTU.
2. Wren’s GWYMARREN WINTER STORM
Both good examples of their breed.

JUDGE
Bitches
Firstly I would like to thank the members who voted
for me and the committee for their kind invitation to judge. Grateful thanks to
my efficient stewards Ruth
and Pam who ensured everything ran smoothly. As always I found
the show friendly and well organised.
Minor puppy
bitch (2 . 0)
1) Starkey’s Redfrith You
Know Me at Mynthurst. 6 month old showing lots of
promise. Sweetest of heads with good eye. Lovely bone
and substance, super neck and shoulder, correct topline
and well turned quarters. Moved well for such a youngster.
2) Frost’s Bodlon Star
Attraction by Bushwacker. Smaller in type to one but
found her slightly longer cast. Good bone and substance, well laid neck and
shoulder, good quarters and moved well. At this stage I just preferred the
coupling and topline of my winner.
Puppy bitch (3 . 1)
1) Harrison and Hartley’s Glenbrows
Tribute To Weslave
An outstanding 10 month old puppy.
Sweet head with correct eye and ear set, best of neck and shoulder, correct topline, good strong quarters with short hocks. Strong deep body and such a lovely outline, presented in lovely
coat and body condition. I could just not resist her and am sure she
will go on to greater things. Delighted to award her the RCC
and BPIS.
2) Walton and Coffin’s Hillpark
Sparkling Silver
Pretty bitch of a smaller mould, sweet head and
expression, correct topline, a shade longer cast than one,
moved OK.
Junior bitch (9 . 2)
1) Brown’s Glenbrows paper
Dawn at Graygees
16 month old bitch. Sweet head
but would prefer a shade more stop to complete. Good in neck and shoulder,
excellent legs and feet and correct substance, well ribbed with correct
quarters. Shown in super coat and condition, moved well.
2) Backhouse’s Aindrea Ain’t Misbehavin
Super headed bitch of good breed type with lovely eye
and expression, correct neck / shoulder placement.
Strong quarters moved well. Nicely handled, just needs a
shade more confidence.

Dynamite
Sp Yearling

Maiden bitch (5 . 2)
1) Evans’ Sycharth Hob Y Derri Dando

been slow to develop. Of lovely breed type with sweet head and kind eye. Well

Graduate bitch
(5 . 0)
1) Abbott’s Norlington
Nectar
Two year old bitch with good head and eye although she
is a shade stronger than I prefer. Best of neck and shoulder.
Correct forearm and excellent bone and substance. She excels in ribcage and
depth of body and has the correct topline. I would prefer
a shade more angulation behind. Shown
in super condition.
2) Jones’ Pennylock Sioned at Trosley
Smaller bitch with good head and eye. Not so good in
feet and a shade lightweight in body at the moment. Good topline,
moved OK.
3) Backhouse’s Aindrea Ain’t Misbehavin
Post Graduate
bitch (6 . 3)
1) Dixon’s Menstonia Fair
Chance
One I placed well as a puppy and pleased to see she
had developed so well. Excellent breed type with correct head
showing good balance between skull and foreface. Well laid neck and
shoulder. Good ribbing and strong quarters. Moved well.
2) Walton’s Hillpark Fantasy
Gold
Smaller bitch of correct breed type. Sweet head and eye. I found her a shade short in upper arm
and lacking in development of ribcage. Moved OK.
3) Woodward’s Bowdonia
Chasing Dreams
Mid Limit
bitch (5 . 0)
1) Morgan and Roberts Cwrt Afon Hafina
Three year old bitch of excellent breed type as I
would expect from this kennel. Sweet well balanced head,
excellent neck and shoulder placement, good legs and feet with lovely bone and
substance. Strong quarters with short strong hocks giving excellent rear
movement. Found her a shade light in coat and condition when it came to top honours today.
2) Leary’s Haselmount Heulwen
Another of excellent type. Close up to one and again good in head and substance. A
shade shorter cast than one but could not match her for movement.
3) Harrison’s Glenbrows
Please Please Me
Limit bitch (7 . 0)
1) Thomas’ Bowdonia Sweet
Dreams
Two year old bitch who has
recently completed her well deserved title. Balanced head, but she is stronger
in skull than I would prefer, dark well shaped eye. Super neck and shoulders,
excels in bone and substance. Lovely legs and feet and well turned quarters. Moved very well. A worthy Show Champion.
2) Barnes’ Islemoor Ruby
Tuesday with Barhi
Of a different type to my winner and not quite the
work in head I was looking for. Good front, excellent legs and feet and well
off for bone. Correct layback of shoulder, strong quarters.
Moved well.
3) Tully’s Highclare Miss
Motivator
Open bitch (8 . 1)
1) Tanner and Crowther’s Tannamoor Anwen
Four year old bitch at the top of her game. I
have never seen her look better. Excels in breed type.
Super head and expression, excellent neck and shoulder placement, correct forearm
and front assembly. Lovely ribbing and topline, well set tail and strong well turned quarters. I thought
she looked and moved beautifully today. Pleased to award her first cc and was
delighted my co-judge agreed she should be BIS. Well done.
2) Walton’s Sh Ch Hillpark Royal Gold
Worthy Ch who excels in breed type. Slightly stronger
in head than I would prefer but she has excellent bone and substance with
correct topline and quarters. Could
not match one for coat condition and movement today.
3) Frost’s Bushwacker Atomic
Kitten
Veteran bitch
(5 . 2)
1) Tully’s CH Highclare
Energizer
Delighted even at her late age to have the chance to
go over this bitch who has been a favourite of mine

eye. She is superbly balanced with strong well ribbed body and excellent
quarters. She powered arround the ring as always.
She is a wonderful example of our breed. Loved her today.
2) Thomas’ Cleavehill Llyn Brianne
Nine and a half year old bitch, different in head to one
and a shade short in upper arm. She has good neck and shoulder

Caldwell’s – A very well matched pair both standing and moving. I really enjoyed judging them and had
no hesitation in putting them 1st.
2nd Barnes’ – Another nice pair, close to one, but one of this pair
looked less happy. I found out afterwards he had just been in another class. Very nice pair.
