The Autumn Walk took place over  Albury Downs near Guildford on Sunday 24th September, and was once again blessed by wonderful weather.  On arrival members could have been forgiven for believing that they had arrived at the wrong venue as there were a number of ‘beautiful’ motor cycles. Apparently this is a favourite Sunday haunt for them and some of our members found them very diverting.

At 2pm Graham Banks called everyone together and explained the walk and the usual group photo was taken for the website, a great collection of around  25 welshies, a Jack Russell and a Golden Retriever were assembled.

Graham led the group and the back markers were Ralph and Silvana Wright who, using mobile phones kept in touch with the leader and ensured that latecomers and errant dogs, were all collected together in the right place to enjoy the ‘breather’ at St Martha’s Church which has been described as a ‘magic spot’ effectively on top of a sand dune!

Everyone completed the walk with a smile on their face, and it is hoped that Graham will again organise one of his wonderful outings next year.
